Rev. Massena B. Ballou was born at Dana, Mass. 28 November 1800; died in Stoughton in 1890. He was the son of

Rev. Hosea Ballou (1771-1852) and Ruth (Washburn) Ballou (1778-1853). He was a settled as a minister in Stoughton 17

April 1831, and resigned 1 April 1853.

He was called to Stoughton from Chelsea 13 June 1892, and served until 1 July 1893.

Born at Morristown, N.J. Aug. 6, 1825. He was installed as pastor in Stoughton 26 May 1854. Died in Stoughton 12

December 1863. Buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton, Mass. His wife Fannie E. (Mussey) Dennis (1826-1902).

January 1818. He continued as minister until the seperation between the Universalist and Congregationalist in 1822. He

resigned 9 July 1822.

Brown University in 1797. First Congregational Church 1825-1840. He was first invited to preach to church in May 1825. Dr.

Park was installed as the first minister of the First Congregational Church 13 December 1826. He resigned the office 24 May

1840, however he continued until Rev. Henry Eddy was installed 4 November 1840. A listing of some of his works can be

Rev. ALBERT PERRY, born at Rindge, N.H. 17 December 1820; died at New Ipswich, N.H. 17 June 1862.. - First Congregational Church 1851-1856. He was called from New Ipswich to be their pastor 26 September 1850. He was installed 8 January 1851, and resigned due to poor health on 21 June 1856. Rev. Perry was pastor during the construction of the 1850's edifice on Washington Street [site now where the the gas next to the V.F.W. stands. The new church was dedicated 28 January 1852 at a cost of $12,000. His parsonage was the house standing to the right of the gas station on Washington Street. The old church was destroyed by fire on 9 March 1942. Rev. Perry and his family are buried at the Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.

North Stoughton Methodist 1878, and First Congregational Church 1882-1890, 1894-1898.

He was invited to preach at the Congregational Church 27 April 1882 from his home in New Sharon, Me. He

resigned as pastor in 1890. He later returned to the church and preached from 1894-1898.
