APPALONI BURRELL, born in Massachusetts ca. 1796. She was a pauper residing at the Poor farm in 1865 aged 69 yrs., unmarried, occupation house work.
ASA BURRILL, born at Stoughton, Mass. 10 August 1776; died at Stoughton. ca. 1862-3. He was the son of David and Mary (Dyer) Burrell of Stoughton. Asa was aged 74 yrs., listed as a pauper while he was residing at the Stoughton Poor Farm [1850 U.S. Census (Stoughton, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts) NARA M-432, roll # 329, p. 107]. He was is living at the Poor farm in 1855 aged 79 yrs. Asa was aged 82 listed as a shoe maker, and a pauper residing at the Stoughton Poor Farm [1860 U.S. Census (Stoughton, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts) NARA M-653, roll # 515, p. 155]. Perhaps he is the Asa Burrill mentioned under a Norfolk County Guardianship in 1809 (#2941). He married PHEBE -----, born in Massachusetts ca. 1774; died at Stoughton, Mass. 17 May 1865. She was aged 86 yrs. residing at the Stoughton Poor Farm [1860 U.S. Census (Stoughton, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts) NARA M-653, roll # 515, p. 155]. She was a pauper residing at the Poor farm in 1865 aged 91 yrs., widowed, occupation housework.
DAVID LINFIELD BURRELL, born at Stoughton, Mass. 19 February 1795; and died there 21 July 1872, aged 77 yrs. 5 mos. 2 dys. He married at Randolph, Mass. 21 October 1821 to Hannah Ludden. She was born in Braintree, Mass. 2 May 1796; and died 23 November 1844, aged 48 yrs. David was a pauper residing at the Poor farm in 1865 aged 71 yrs., widowed boot maker. David was buried at the Central Cemetery in Randolph, Mass.
DENNIS CARNEY, born in Ireland ca. 1824. He was residing at the Stoughton Poor Farm in 1880, age 56 yrs. [1880 U.S. Census (Stoughton, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts) , p. 38]
THOMAS CARNEY, born in New York ca. 1844. Thomas was a pauper residing at the Poor farm in 1865 aged 21 yrs., cannot read or write, and is a cripple with no occupation. He was aged 26 yrs. residing at the Stoughton Poor Farm [1870 U.S. Census (Stoughton, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts) NARA M-593, roll # 636, p. 14]. Possible he is a Civil War veteran?

SUSAN DICKERMAN, born in Massachusetts ca. 1793. She is living at the Poor farm in 1855 aged 62 yrs. Perhaps she is the Susan mentioned in the Stoughton guardianship case in 1802 (#5546).
JABEZ DRAKE, born at Easton, Mass. 4 November 1801, perhaps the son of Elijah and Susanna (Churchill) Drake of Easton; died at Stoughton unmarried 14 March 1877. He was aged 69 yrs. residing at the Stoughton Poor Farm [1870 U.S. Census (Stoughton, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts) NARA M-593, roll # 636, p. 14]. He was a pauper residing at the Poor farm in 1865 aged 65 yrs., occupation laborer, unmarried. Mentioned in Louis Stoughton Drake’s book

He was a pauper residing at the Poor farm in 1865 as a widower aged 76 yrs., his occupation was a carpenter. Perhaps this is the same Nathan Warren of Stoughton mentioned in the guardianship in 1841 (#19434).

Issac Marston, born at Livermore, Maine 29 January 1822; died at Stoughton, Mass. 6 May 1858, aged 36 yrs. 3 mos. He married at Maine 9 August 1847 to Mary D. “Polly” Fuller. She was b. in Maine ca. 1821.
Isaac was listed as the “Poor House Keeper” on the Census of 1850. Children born in Massachusetts : Hellen F., b. in Mass 19 June 1848; d. 21 June 1854; Henry V. b. 25 March 1850 (aged 4 mos. in the 1850 Census), died 9 March 1852; and Isaac V., b. 22 January 1853. This family appears in Nathaniel Washington Marston, The Marston Genealogy (So. Lubec, Me. 1886) p. 75.

Erastus Holt, b. in Maine ca. 1817. He was listed as the “alms house master” at the time of the 1855 Census. He married before 1839 to Lucinda. She was b. in Maine ca. 1814. Children born in Maine: Artimas, b. ca. 1839; Ellen A., b. ca. 1841; Emery L. b. ca. 1846; Erastus E. b. ca. 1849.
Employed at the Poor Farm though not paupers.
Asa B. Pope, b. at Mass. ca. 1819. A laborer.
Timothy Carroll, b. in Ireland ca. 1832. A laborer.
1860-1870
William Caldwell, b. in Maine ca. 1806, d. bet. 1860-70. He married before 1836 to Susan --. She was b. in Maine ca. 1809. William was the caretaker of the Poor farm on the Census of 1860, and Eunice is “keeping Poor House” in 1870. Child: Ebenezer, b. in Maine/Mass. ca. 1846, still alive in 1870.
Employed at the Poor Farm though not paupers.
Anna Cobb, b. in Massachusetts ca. 1836. Listed as an unmarried domestic in the 1855 Census working with the Caldwell family.

Joseph P. Conant, born in Mass. ca. 1823. He married before 1880 to Ruth H. (----). She was born in Mass. ca. 1833. Living in their house servant Clara Stearns, b. in Mass. ca. 1861, also their son [name illegible] is 22 and is listed as a teacher.
